One of the best things about living in Savannah, is that the beach is SO CLOSE! So naturally, we get a LOT of awesome beach weddings and elopements. Around an hour south of us there are some amazing locations, called the ‘golden isles’ of coastal Georgia. But directly east of Savannah is a small island that’s not just perfect for a vacation, but perfect for your beach wedding or elopement!
Stephanie and Derek recently stayed at The Beachview Bed & Breakfast – the all-in-one location for your beach wedding. I’ve had the pleasure to work with Beachview several times now, and I’ll tell you – they’ve got it all. The bed and breakfast is absolutely gorgeous and full of history (read about it’s history in another blog I wrote about it!) and is able to host your ceremony, rain or shine! And in Stephanie and Derek’s case – it definitely rained! But the ceremony still went off without a hitch, and all the friends and family there had a great time.
Today I wanted to share with you just a sneak peek of their ‘couple’s portraits.’ This is the dedicated time in their wedding day, just for them. I have a timeline meeting with every couple a few weeks before their wedding to make sure I know exactly what photos are important to them, and make sure we have enough time to get the very best! In Stephanie and Derek’s case, I knew that they absolutely valued photos of them playing and running on the beach, no matter the weather! Thankfully the rain stopped for a few minutes and we were all able to frolic on the beach together! I love that the best spots on Tybee are super close to the bed and breakfast!
Also – I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Stephanie. Even though the temperature was colder than she expected, AND it was raining, AND the water was really cold – that girl STILL jumped into the ocean and rolled around with Derek! What a trooper, and it made for some really fun photos! Leave Stephanie and Derek some love in the comments below!!
